The connecting rod is an important part in the automobile and ship engine, it connects the piston and the crankshaft. In addition, its function is to convert the reciprocating motion of the piston into the rotational motion of the crankshaft, and to transmit the force acting on the piston to the crankshaft.
The connecting rod is consisted by the connecting rod body, big head cover, small head bushing, big end bearing shell and rod bolts (or screws). The connecting rod group is subjected to the gas force from the piston pin, the size and direction of these forces are periodic. Therefore, the connecting rod China Dongfeng auto parts is subjected to cyclic loading such as compression and tension. Connecting rod must have sufficient fatigue strength and structural stiffness. If the fatigue strength is not enough, the connecting rod body or rod bolt will be broken, then the significant accident will occur.
Rod part of the connecting rod mechanism are respectively hinged with the active and the driven member to transfer the movement and the force. For example, in a reciprocating piston type power machine and compressor, a connecting rod is used to connect Coolant Sensor and the crank. Connecting rod for steel parts, the main part of the cross section is circular or I-shaped, both ends of the hole, the hole with bronze bushings or needle roller bearings for axle load and a hinged pin.
The Connecting rod in the work bears the pressure from the combustion chamber gas, but also it bears the vertical and horizontal inertia force. Therefore, the connecting rod works in a complex stress state, it is not only affected by the alternating tension and compression stress, but also by the bending stress. The main damage form of connecting rod is fatigue fracture and excessive deformation. Usually the location of fatigue fracture is in the three high-stress region of the connecting rod. The working condition of connecting rod requires high strength and anti-fatigue properties, also require a sufficient rigidity and toughness.
In the traditional processing technology, the material of the connecting rods is 45 steel,40Cr or 40MnB, but now in the foreign, the advanced conrod fracture splitting is widely used, which requires high brittleness and hardness. Although the alloy steel has a very high strength, but the stress concentration is very sensitive, therefore, in the connecting rod shape, excessive fillet need to be strict, it also should pay attention to the surface processing quality in order to improve the China Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle fatigue strength, otherwise the application of high strength alloy steel can not achieve the desired results.
1, the Inspection of connecting rod appearance
- The connecting rod and bearing cap can not be cracked or damaged.
- The bearing cover and the bearing seat should be close together, and the joint surface is not damaged。
- Check the gap between the two ends of the connecting rod and the crank arm with a feeler gauge. The size should be in accordance with the regulations, otherwise it should be replaced.
- Check the connecting rod bolts and nuts. If the bolt has cracks or obvious defects, the gap between the bolt with the nut is too large, all of these should be replaced.
2, Inspection of deformation of connecting rod
- The connecting rod cap is arranged in the connecting rod (without bearing), and tighten it to the specified torque, and install the repaired piston pin.
- The connecting rod bearing hole is sheathed on the prismatic bearing inspection instrument, adjusting shaft adjusting screw, make the centering piece of the prismatic support stand outside, and fix the connecting rod on the testing instrument.
- The V-shaped surface of the tester is close to the top surface of the piston pin, observe the contact condition between the three measuring points and the test flat plate.
- If three points are in contact with the test gauge plate, the connecting rod is neither bending nor distortion.

Vehicle and parts is a serious gap between the industry's heart disease when it can truly "hand",Parts industry in China Construction vehicle power short board. "These words from the mouth of a truck parts company CEOs, perhaps not surprised.
Vehicle and parts business is a serious "disconnect" between the status quo, has already become the industry's "broken heart".In the recently held "2012 China Automotive Forum, said China Auto Parts Industry Company president Chen Kangren parts are the foundation of the automotive industry affects the level of efficiency of the entire auto industry supply chain, so the development of the trucks for sale industry must synchronous development of the automotive parts industry. Chinese automobile and parts should 'work together as peers, innovation and win-win'!
The sources said, the urgency of the situation of "zero cooperation" ready to go, had to be transmitted.Trucks sale and parts as a core part of the automotive industry chain, has been stimulating the development of automobile industry, the two carriages. But for a long time, the auto parts has been in the "dragging the hind legs of the Chinese automobile industry", its development has lagged far behind the vehicle has become the industry's "headache".
Related statistics show that in China, there are million enterprises active in the auto parts market. Despite occupy the low labor costs, market demand for cars of these two advantages, but most companies have been facing a "neither 'big', not 'strong'" embarrassing situation.
Back in 2008, the Forum of China's auto parts industry in urgent need bigger and stronger "voice of the" zero cooperation "already issued. The second year, the industry will be "zero the whole cooperation industry linkage, to discuss as a hot industry. Until early this year, "zero cooperation" Industry Forum "key."
Side is the "zero cooperation" explore "full swing", while it is overdue action. What causes the huge gap? Vehicle and parts in the end there is no real collaboration? One person cited the example of an image: OEMs for its own sake, often tender, and to determine its collaboration vendors, so-called "whole zero-collaborative model is obviously only for their own interests to consider, and did not little real meaning of "win-win cooperation".
According to media reports, many OEMs have the name of cooperation "under the guise of" developed a series of "hidden rules", parts enterprises became the object of "being bullied". This leads to the "unprovoked occupation of the money", "pass the cost of risk", "quality claims extortion, has become a common phenomenon in real automotive industry.
Someone in the industry, these practical problems, parts enterprises to become special "useless". As an important link in the chain of automobile cummins 4bt industry, the parts with the vehicle between the "kidnapping" of cooperation, the progress of China's automobile industry is not good, "only the more whole the more chaotic.
Vehicle and auto parts enterprises should reflect on. "An industry source said that the vehicle and components enterprises should abandon the" duplicity "of the so-called" cooperative "mode, the real practical cooperation, common interests and the entire industry the starting point "to jointly plan."

The head gasket is found between the engine block and the cylinder head or heads in a V-type engine. The gasket functions as a seal that prevents the combustion process from leaking into the coolant passages that surround each cylinder. In many cases it seals oil passages from coolant passages so the fluids do not mix.
The price for an independent mechanic to replace a head gasket can be high due to the time-consuming labor involved, so, it is essential to know why you need to replace the head gasket. Have a professional ASE certified Master Auto parts Technician inspect your vehicle to conclusively determine whether or not your car needs to have the head gasket replaced. The purpose of this article is to help you learn how to install a head gasket to save money, but this should only be attempted by someone with a great deal of experience.
1,Obtain a service manual for your car's make and model. It will include step by step procedures with images that explain how to replace your head gasket(s). It will also list any special tools that you may need.
2,Drain all of the oil and coolant from your engine.Remove the parts that are connected to the cylinder head. Refer to your car's service manual for specifics, but in most cases this involves removing the exhaust manifold, the intake manifold, valve cover and drive belts. On many engines, you will need to remove the timing belt or timing chain. Be sure to study the timing belt/chain alignment procedures and be sure you clearly see the alignment marks before you disassemble the timing components.
3,Check the block to be sure no warping has occurred and send the head or heads to an automotive machine shop to be pressure tested. If the pressure test reveals no cracks, have the machine shop resurface the head(s). Don't ever re-install a cylinder head that has not been professionally re-surfaced and examined for cracks.
4,Clean the surface of the head and block.Do not scratch or remove any metal from either, as this may prevent the head gasket from sealing. Prevent any dirt or debris from getting into the cylinders or on pistons during the cleaning process. Inspect the piston tops and cylinder walls for any damage from the overheating or the head gasket problem. Make sure all surfaces are clean and dry.
5,Clean the bolt holes that tighten the head to the block.
6,Fit the head gasket onto the block.Use gasket sealant when specified by the manufacturer, and only use the directed amount in the particular places. Deviating from the manufacturer's recommendations can cause damage to the internal parts of the engine. Most head gaskets will be marked "top" and "up" for proper installation.
7,Place the head onto the block with the head gasket in place.
8,Use a torque wrench to tighten the head onto the block. Check the service manual for the head bolt torque sequence and the amount of torque that needs to be applied for each step. Some head bolts require 3 steps plus specified degree rotation as the final step
9,Replace the other engine components you removed.
10,Set the timing belt or chain back to the proper alignment marks by carefully rotating the camshaft and crankshaft.Check to see if the engine is an interference type of engine. If so, there is a very specific method to rotate and set up the camshaft to crankshaft timing so you don't damage or bend the valves! If equipped, install the distributor so it is properly timed with the number one cylinder. If applicable, adjust the valve clearance to proper specification.
11,Fill the engine with new oil, replace the oil filter and fill the cooling system with new factory specified coolant. When you start the engine, be sure to let the engine idle with the heater on full blast. This is so the cooling system has a chance to bleed out any air bubbles. Some engines require a specific cooling system bleeding procedure, be sure to check for that.

For decades,China's auto parts industry is in the spontaneous development state, such accumulate over a long period, there are many important problems failed to timely and effectively resolved, so the problem is becoming more and more, but also more serious.
With the massive influx of multinational auto parts companies to compete for the market, the domestic parts enterprises are squeezed. In addition, the innovation ability of our small and medium-sized auto parts enterprises is low, so the competition mechanism is imperfect, and form the extensive, disordered, lag and chaotic state. China's automobile production and sales ranked first in the world, but the auto parts is lack of core technology, so these make the domestic auto parts enterprises be in the "hollow" and "bubble" risk. If we do not reverse this lag situation now, auto power will be impossible. This situation will not be very good improvement in the short term, it may be quite a period of time, so in order to achieve gradual and progressive development, the task of transformation and upgrading is extremely urgent.
In order to promote the deeper transformation and upgrading of auto parts industry in our country, we must strengthen the top-level design reform.
First of all, change the thinking.
Revise the development ideas of "heavy car, light parts," On the development of automobile industry, the way of Japan and South Korea is only to catch the revitalization of the auto parts, and ignore the development of the car, but we are on the contrary, so the experience is worth learning.
Secondly, strengthen the construction of innovation ability.
For many high science and technology, parts enterprises or the whole industries are unable to solve, it must come forward by the national or local administration. From basic research to start, then it is proposed to establish the auto parts innovation system, which enable the auto parts become the core technology. At last, form a kind of innovative industrial chain and realize the disruptive innovations.
Thirdly, change the situation between scientific research and industry.
Try to support the establishment of professional R & D institutions, and develop into industrialization and socialization. In many international automobile manufacturing center, they establish small professional R & D institutions, and make them strong. Realize the commercialization of R & D business, which is very beneficial to the integration of vehicle research and development.
Due to the recovery of global economic crisis and the great progress of science and technology, the global auto industry are vigorously implement the mass customization business model, as a result, it force the small size auto parts enterprises to vigorously innovation. Innovation driven business development and closely cooperate with demand for development of new business model.
In the promotion of this new business model, automobile and parts industry have a new type of division : the main focus for the auto companies deal with the ever-changing market demand, the emphasis is on research, development, innovation of the vehicle, widely adopting outsourcing and obtaining parts by procurement methods. In order to cope with the changing requirements of the vehicle, we must deepen the continuous upgrading of professional parts and components. In this way, a new type of the whole zero relationship, namely collaborative engineering is formed.
About the collaborative engineering, the main expect for auto parts enterprises is : the professional products of their own enterprises must be high, big, fine, sharp, and strive to master the core technology.Collaborative engineering is the development trend of the current and future auto industry, in the development and deepening of China's auto industry, it has become an important microcosm of automobile power. The implementation of collaborative engineering is an important part of the transformation and upgrading of parts and components enterprises, who do well, who is the winner.

The manufacturer's maintenance schedule for many automatic transmissions doesn't call for fresh fluid until 100,000 miles or, with some Ford transmissions, even 150,000 miles. A lot of mechanics say that is too long and it should be done at least every 50,000 miles. Manual transmissions may be on a different schedule, so it's best to consult the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual.
Like other vital automotive fluids, transmission fluid deteriorates over time. Hard use - such as frequent stop-and-go city driving, hauling heavy loads, trailer towing - will accelerate the deterioration. That kind of driving raises the operating temperature of the transmission, and heat puts more strain on the transmission and the fluid, which helps facilitate gear shifts, cools the transmission and lubricates moving auto parts .
If you do a lot of driving under high-stress conditions, you should check the transmission level more often and have a repair shop check the condition of the fluid. Transmission fluid often is red but can come in other colors, and as it deteriorates it tends to turn darker. It may also acquire a burned odor that could indicate it needs to be changed or that the transmission is developing mechanical problems. Another indication it needs changing is dirt or other debris in the fluid. When you take your vehicle in for an oil change or other routine service, the repair facility may urge you to pay for a transmission-fluid change or flush. Even if they can show you that the fluid is darker than original, that might not mean you need fresh fluid right now. Step back, check the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual and see what the manufacturer recommends before you decide. This also will give you time to price shop.
Many repair shops use flush systems that force out the old fluid and pump in new fluid. Though that sounds good, some auto parts manufacturer s say you shouldn't do that (Honda is one; there are others), so you need to know this before you agree to a flush. Look in your owner's manual. Some manufacturers, such as Honda, also call for their own type of transmission fluid and warn that using other types could cause damage. Moreover, some automatic transmissions have filters that should be cleaned or replaced when the fluid is changed. Make sure the repair facility is using the correct fluid and procedures for your vehicle. If you have never changed the transmission fluid in your vehicle and have more than 100,000 miles on the odometer, should you change it now? We have seen mixed opinions on this, with some mechanics suggesting you should just leave well alone if you aren't having shifting problems. Adding fuel to this theory are stories about older transmissions failing shortly after they finally received fresh fluid. We have a hard time accepting that fresh fluid causes transmission failure, so our inclination would be to have it done if you're planning on keeping the commercial vehicle a few years or longer. However, fresh fluid is not a cure for gears slipping, rough shifting or other mechanical problems, so don't expect a fluid change to be a magic elixir.

The automotive industry in China benefits immensely from government support. The government considers this industry as a pillar or strategically important industry for the economy, and it has adopted various policies and initiatives to spur strong growth and development (Haley, G.T. 2009). As Zhang Ji, deputy director of import and export of machinery and electronic products at China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) stated in an interview: "Automobiles are in a way different from other merchandises. Automobile export adds to the dignity of a nation….The auto industry represents a country’s overall economic strength. Government policy has aimed at increasing domestic auto and auto-parts manufacturing with foreign partners, enabling technology transfer and creating an auto-parts supply base for exports. The government has offered market access to foreign auto companies in return for technology; both soft and hard technology acquisition, not capital acquisition, has motivated China’s opening of its auto industry to foreign direct investment. The central government’s policy has also aimed at modernizing and restructuring SOEs to create principal actors or "national champions†in their industries and to displace imported products in China’s domestic market. National champions in the automotive sector include the vertically integrated SAIC, FAW, and Dongfeng, which include captive auto-parts manufacturers.
Soviet aid helped to start the Chinese automotive sector in 1953 with the establishment of China’s first car company, FAW. In the late 1970s, China’s auto industry continued to transform through its open-door policy. China’s need to modernize its industrial infrastructure required foreign technology, management, and finance to supplement low domestic savings and nascent R&D capabilities. Import-substitution policies built on a protectionist framework helped the auto and auto-parts industries to evolve and provided shelter. In the 1970s, China’s auto industry had small production capacity focused on Dong feng truck production. In 1978, the country had 56 auto-assembly plants that produced slightly fewer than 150,000 units based on Eastern European designs from the 1950s (Ministry of Machinery 1994).
In 1984, Premier Zhao Ziyang announced that China planned to produce exportable sedans up to world standards, to increase production volumes, and to switch from an "all-under-one-roof mentality of small-scale development†to a "cooperative industrial complex system, centered around large-scale factories based on modern technology†(Iwagaki 1986, 11). Specific objectives included consolidating production in the industry into three large and three small producers with high local content, acquiring advanced technology, and achieving high volumes. JVs with foreign companies would serve as the primary vehicle of industrial upgrading.
In 1986, the central government designated the automotive industry as a pillar of the national economy. In 1987, the government began to encourage JVs with foreign auto companies while its trade policy continued to nurture domestic auto-parts production. This new policy included compulsory licensing of imports and new production facilities. In the 1991 five-year plan, Beijing referred to the automotive industry as a pillar industry for China. In 1994, the State Planning Commission issued an industrial-policy statement formalizing the state’s objectives for the auto industry; it modeled the statement on perceived Japanese and Korean experiences, except for the reliance on JVs for industrial upgrading. Since then, 24 provincial governments have also designated the automotive industry as a pillar industry with local governmental support for restructuring, growth, and exports.
The Auto Industry Development Policy (AIP), issued by the NDRC with every five-year plan, serves as the blueprint for developing China’s auto industry. The 2004 AIP encouraged local automakers to develop R&D capabilities, to produce vehicles independently, and to increase exports to $35–40 billion by 2010, an amount accounting for around 40–50% of output. The policy also aimed to have auto parts derive from a series of industry clusters, where domestic companies could establish their own brands and compete in international markets, with advanced technology and capital-intensive products accounting for around 60% of exports. The plan has fallen a little short of these targets.
China’s 2004 AIP also formalized some technology-transfer requirements for foreign companies wanting to invest in China’s automotive sector. Pursuant to Article 47 of the 2004 AIP, foreign-investment projects in China’s automotive industry require the establishment of R&D facilities with an investment of at least RMB 500 million. In Annex II of the 2004 AIP, foreign investors seeking approval of new automobile-production plants must file technology-transfer agreements (Trade Lawyers Advisory Group 2007). In 2011, Beijing announced that foreign auto companies that want to expand in China must launch new brands with their Chinese partners. Earlier in 2011, Volkswagen AG received government permission to build a new assembly plant in south China only after it had agreed to create a new brand for its JV with FAW. The government-financed China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) concluded that, "With this rule, the government hopes to force global automakers to contribute more technology to their joint ventures†.
In the 2004 AIP, two significant laws restricted foreign ownership to 50% shares of commercial vehicle-manufacturing company in China and restricted foreign vehicle manufacturers to two local JV partners. Foreign OEMs have had to set up JVs for vehicle production, a rule that implicitly forces them to cooperate on vehicle distribution with their local partners. The AIP also paved the way for China’s auto-parts industry to become part of the global automotive-purchasing system, and it started to restructure the automotive industry into large groups capable of competing globally. In its 11th Five Year Plan (2006–10) for the automotive industry, the government eliminated the need for state approval for any new investment in auto-parts manufacturing. To create a strong R&D platform in auto parts and to boost technology transfer from foreign companies, Beijing had previously removed the 50% ownership restriction on JVs in auto-parts production. Starting in 2010, auto-parts companies can have 100% foreign ownership and start production without state approval, while auto-assembly companies still cannot.
Unlike the central government’s policies, provinces often issue policies abruptly, taking markets by surprise. For example, in 1999, local governments in 13 cities banned the use of diesel vehicles with almost no warning or lead time. The governments have since retracted this policy. Local governments also often pass laws that favor their local economies and businesses rather than national interests (J.D. Power and Associates 2007). For example, some provinces set vehicle specifications for taxis to match those of locally manufactured autos. As governmental fleets have traditionally been the largest consumers of autos, these regulations have major repercussions on sales of autos and auto parts.
To help China’s automotive industry negotiate the global economic crisis, China’s government has so far introduced two stimulus packages.

In 2008, China became the fourth-largest exporter of auto parts in the world after Germany, the United States, and Japan (International Trade Administration 2009, 2010). The latest trade data from the International Trade Administration, which aggregates the auto-parts industry broadly and includes tires, glass, bodies, and other commodities which other trade aggregations exclude, show that in 2010, estimated Chinese exports of auto parts approximated $43.86 billion — an increase of 162% from $16.7 billion in 2005 (International Trade Administration 2011).
For China, most auto-parts imports consist of higher-end systems and components to incorporate into Sino-foreign vehicle makers’ autos. Japan accounts for about half of total imports, and Germany about one-quarter, reflecting the roles of Volkswagen in the mass market and BMW and Mercedes-Benz in the luxury market (CAAM 2010–2011, Netscribes 2010–2011, China Customs 2010–2011). The three companies have great reliance on imported components. In contrast, China imports very little from the United States, reflecting the presence of American companies at the top end of China’s auto-parts industry.
Unlike the Japanese and German JVs, U.S. automotive JVs rely to a much greater extent on Chinese auto-parts manufacturers, thereby contributing to the bilateral trade imbalance by reducing their use of U.S.-made parts. The United States has also been by far the leading export destination for Chinese auto parts, indicating the extensive integration of U.S. auto-parts companies in the Chinese export machinery.
In auto parts, China runs trade deficits with every other major auto producer, including Japan, South Korea, and Germany. In contrast, China’s trade surpluses on auto parts with the United States constitutes a notable exception. As other foreign auto companies operating in China have linked to auto-parts suppliers back home, U.S. auto companies have increasingly cut ties with U.S. suppliers or encouraged them to manufacture in China.
In 2006, Ford announced that, to cut costs, the company planned to double the value of the auto parts that it sourced from China to about $3 billion from about $1.6 billion in 2005 (Dyer 2006). In 2008, GM, which was buying 20 million parts a month from 190 Chinese auto parts suppliers, announced that it intended to buy more and increasingly sophisticated car components in China for worldwide assembly.5 The company stated that it would increase its procurement spending in China by 25% per year in the period 2005–10 (Zubko 200 . U.S. global auto strategy has progressively centered around manufacturing in China and exporting back home. Consequently, China’s exports of auto parts to the United States are three times those of China’s next highest trading destination, Japan.
China’s auto-parts exports are expected to grow dramatically in the future, driven primarily by two factors: exports to overseas automakers and exports to overseas Tier-1 suppliers. Foreign, primarily U.S., automakers’ captive centers in China will probably supply their home bases directly. For example, GM and Ford have recently announced that, by 2010, they will purchase more than $10 billion and $7 billion worth of auto-parts and accessories, respectively, from their sourcing centers in China. In 2008, China overtook Germany to become the fourth-largest source of imports for U.S. auto parts (after NAFTA partners Canada and Mexico, and Japan), and in 2011 is among the fastest-growing sources of U.S. imports (along with Korea and Mexico). As Figure J shows, from 2000 to 2010 imports of Chinese auto parts into the United States increased about eight-fold and are expected to continue to increase. During the same period, the U.S. trade deficit with China on auto parts increased nine-fold.
In 2009, the NDRC, China’s central economic planning agency, released Directives on Promoting the Healthy and Sustainable Growth of Domestically-Made Auto Products to increase auto-parts exports. According to the directives, the government will facilitate auto and auto-parts manufacturers’ efforts in getting loans from domestic banks to fund their exports. The government has also pledged the services of the state-owned export-credit insurer, China Export & Credit Insurance Co., to manage credit risks in overseas markets for exporting auto-parts companies (China Automotive Technology & Research Center 2009).
The Chinese government has additionally pledged to help domestic auto and auto-parts companies to build overseas R&D centers and to acquire foreign peers to improve their technology and product-development capabilities.
With its support, the government hopes that domestic automakers can expand their exports from the current mainly Dongfeng commercial vehicles to passenger vehicles, compact cars, and small- and medium-sized buses, according to the directives. It also expects domestic parts suppliers to shift their export focus from mechanical products to machinery and electrical and electronic products. With its newly announced support measures, the NDRC expected to see the export value of automobiles and auto parts made by domestic companies grow 10% annually over the next two years and reach $85 billion by 2015 (China Automotive Technology & Research Center 2009).

Dongfeng- -China's largest auto parts company made a surprise bid for Fisker Automotive just days before the bankrupt maker of the Karma plug-in hybrid sports car was to be sold to a Hong Kong tycoon, according to court documents.
Fisker creditors asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware to scrap Fisker's agreed sale to a company affiliated with Richard Li and instead hold an open auction at which Wanxiang America Corp plans to bid.
Wanxiang outbid Johnson Controls last year in a bankruptcy auction for most of the assets of A123 Systems Inc, which made batteries for Dongfeng cars. "They are extremely capable and knowledgeable of the industry and know how to get things done," said William Baldiga, a Brown Rudnick attorney who represents Fisker's official creditors committee.
Both Fisker and A123 obtained green technology loans from the Department of Energy. Critics of the government's loan program tried to get regulators to block the sale of A123 to Wanxiang, arguing that sensitive technology was being transferred to an economic rival.
Baldiga said he does not anticipate similar problems with the sale of Fisker's assets, which he said are primarily related to Dongfeng automotive design. Wanxiang plans to restart Fisker production and eventually move the manufacturing from Finland to Michigan, according to Wanxiang's presentation to creditors that was filed with the court.
Fisker filed for bankruptcy in November, after being hobbled by production glitches and recalls. Li planned to buy the company after he paid around $30 million for Fisker's loan from the U.S. government. Li planned to bid the $168 million owed on that loan to acquire Fisker's assets, leaving other creditors such as Dongfeng auto parts suppliers with next to nothing.

We would expect at least 50,000 miles from the tires that come with any new Dongfeng Commercial vehicle, but tire life depends on so many factors that it's impossible to give anything other than broad guidelines.
Among the factors are the quality of the tire, the treadwear rating, whether it is a performance summer tire or an all-season tire, the type of Dongfeng heavy truck it is mounted on and how it is driven. Performance tires may grip like leeches on dry pavement, but they tend to wear out faster than tires with less rolling resistance. If you drive your vehicle like you just stole it that also will wear tires faster. The Tires 101 information in the Cars.com Advice section, found here, will help you sort out the different types of tires and which is best for your driving style.
Driving for extended periods on underinflated tires shortens their lifespan, as will driving a vehicle whose wheels are out of alignment. If you never or seldom have Dongfeng tires rotated, that also can accelerate wear, especially the tires mounted in front on a front-wheel-drive vehicle. They not only carry most of the vehicle's weight but also carry most of the load in braking, cornering and jackrabbit starts.
Though we would expect at least 50,000 miles from original-equipment (and quality replacement) tires, the reality can be quite different. Owners of late-model Honda CR-Vs have complained to us, for example, that they had to replace all four tires around 20,000 miles. We also hear complaints from people who bought replacement tires that were supposed to last 50,000 miles or more but were good for only 30,000 miles. In other words, there are no promises.
Here are some additional guidelines: You don't have to spend lavishly on tires, but don't automatically buy the cheapest ones either. Tires are the only part of your vehicle that are supposed to touch the ground, so make sure they're up to the task. Choose tires that have high treadwear and traction ratings, and bear in mind that performance tires with higher speed ratings may not last long. A balanced combination of wet traction, ride comfort, low noise levels and a high treadwear rating will probably be best spare parts.

All vehicles with a manual transmission will have a friction clutch between the engine and gearbox, allowing the driver to pull away from a standstill and change gears.Clutches are hard wearing, but do need periodic replacement as the clutch wears down.
1, Identify the symptoms of a worn clutch.
Usually this is characterised by the clutch slipping as you apply power — the engine speed will increase greatly when you try to accelerate, even though the clutch pedal is not pressed. Under normal driving, a healthy clutch will 'lock' the engine to the transmission, so its speed should be directly linked to changes in the commercial vehicle speed.
2, Make sure the clutch itself is at fault.
If your vehicle has a hydraulically-operated clutch, eliminate air in the system by bleeding the hydraulic circuit, as you would with the braking system. A cable-operated clutch could be suffering from a seized or jammed cable, preventing the clutch from taking the full torque from the engine parts.
3, Have the clutch replaced as soon as possible.
Clutch replacement is an involved job, requiring removal of the transmission to access the clutch. Unless you are an experienced home mechanic, book your car into a garage to have the work done.

At present, China has become the competitive stage of the world auto parts enterprises. After the rapid development, China has become one of the most important overseas markets for multinational companies. Take the passenger car for example, the multinational companies in China's market share reached 70%, according to their plan, the capacity will be further expanded in the future. The production of GM, Volkswagen, Nissan in china has more than 25%, especially GM reached 28.1%, Volkswagen reached 26.8% and Nissan reached 20.6%. There is no doubt that China has grown into one of the world's most important car market.
Through auto parts enterprises establish the strategic cooperative relationship with the automobile companies, actively follow up and synchronize development and system development, which lead parts enterprises technological progress. Increase R & D investment, explore the technical personnel's potential and get rid of the technical dependency situation. Also can introduce the international advanced management system and transform the economic growth model.
Internationalization is the only way which makes Chinese auto parts enterprises bigger and stronger. Besides, according to intervening the exploitation in advance, promoting the vehicle enterprise technology, establishing mutual benefit and win long-term cooperative relations, we can withstand the impact caused by the transnational auto parts market. Through the introduction of international standards, we can establish the first-class quality management system, such as QS9000, ISO9000, but we should strictly implement to ensure the stability and reliability of product quality. The international market talent team can also be introduced and established. Training competitive incentive mechanism, strengthening the information technology and the establishment of a high efficiency, fast, accurate, stable and safe modern information management system, these can establish and improve the information network platform, also can timely collect and grasp the market dynamics both at home and abroad.
So-called internationalization, the product, performance, quality and service should be achieve international general standards and meet the requirements of foreign markets. To expand the overseas market, we not only can set up factories but also can establish the service system in foreign countries. This is the only way we can firm internationalization. At present, whether China's auto parts industry or vehicle industry, compared with the international advanced level there is a certain distance, so Chinese domestic companies have to establish a firm confidence that we can stand on the international stage in the near future. In addition the future road of the internationalization will be more steady and wider.
Adhere to international road, we must adhere to the technology, management and model innovation. Automotive industry as a pillar industry of the national economy, to grow stronger is a top priority. Our number of the auto parts company is gradually increasing, but the ability is much worse. So that we can enter the international market, the domestic enterprises must undergo rapid promotion in management, quality and technology.

From washing and waxing to detailing the interior, people baby their Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle in all sorts of ways. But it's equally important to take care of your car before you put it into storage. Here are a few tips to make sure your car is ready to go when you are.
The Final Detail
Thoroughly clean your car, inside and out, before storage. The last thing you want to do is put a car cover on a dirty car. Give your ride a good hand wash, polish up that chrome and apply a coat of wax to the paint. Make sure to get rid of any tree-sap drops, too.
If there are unpainted metal places under your car that are prone to rust, buy a can of rubberized undercoating and spray on a protective coat, keeping in mind that it needs to be reapplied yearly. Be careful not to spray this coating near any exhaust components that can get hot because products like this can be very flammable. For collectors, if you're worried about keeping your car in original condition, a coat of WD-40 will also work. You can also stuff a sock in the exhaust pipe so that small animals won't find a new place to set up camp, but be sure to remove it before you start the car again. Throw out food wrappers, soda cans and any other trash that may have accumulated in the cabin. If you plan on steam-cleaning the carpet, do that far enough in advance (or after) storing the car to avoid moisture buildup and mold. For added interior protection, you can buy a set of seat covers. To soak up cabin moisture, purchase a few packs of desiccant from your local dollar store or convenience store to place on the floor.
Mice and other small animals can create trouble if they get inside your car. Even though there isn't a surefire way to protect your car from mice, there are steps you can take to make your car less appealing to them. "I usually go to the dollar store and buy the cheapest drier sheets I can find, and put those inside my vehicles," said Davin Reckow, claims parts specialist for Hagerty Collector Car Insurance. You can also place mothballs in socks and set them both inside and around the car, but you'll probably need to air out the cabin to get rid of that distinctive smell. Mousetraps work well outside the car, but never put them in your car. The last thing you want to find is a dead mouse on your passenger seat, especially months later. If you are storing your car in your own garage at home, remember that pest poison traps can be hazardous to your pets.
Tires
It's worthwhile to inflate your tires to a higher air pressure before storing your car because tires can slowly lose pressure over time and with temperature changes. However, don't exceed the tire's maximum air pressure, which is listed on the side of the tire, and be sure to fill all four tires to the correct air pressure when you take your car out of storage. If you already know one of your tires has a leak, replace it because it will deflate completely over time, and your car could end up kneeling on its rim. Don't engage the parking brake for storage as it can become "frozen" and difficult to disengage. If you're worried about your car rolling, get some wheel chocks or blocks of wood to wedge against the tires.
For the more mechanically inclined and for owners of collectible cars, you can put your car on jack stands to take the weight off the tires and suspension. By doing this, you can avoid getting flat areas on your older tires and wheels. Procedures for doing this vary greatly from car to car, so if you're unfamiliar with the proper and safe way to raise your car, consult with someone who knows. In all instances, be sure the floor of your storage site is completely flat and made of concrete before undertaking this.
Fluids and Power
It's a good idea to use fuel stabilizer. Why? Reckow said most ethanol-blended fuels have a shelf life of only about three months. If you're storing a car for six months, fuel stabilizer should help prevent corrosion in the fuel lines and engine. Add fuel stabilizer to a nearly full gas tank.
It's also a good idea to change your car's oil and oil filter and check and top-up all other fluid levels before storing your car. If you live in a colder climate, make sure your car has enough antifreeze. Once you've topped off the fluids and added fuel stabilizer, take your car out for one last ride to circulate the new fluids.
Your car battery should be either removed and stored, or connected to a trickle charger or battery tender. You can get one for less than $50. Make sure your battery tender or charger has a float mode or automatic shutoff feature so the battery doesn't get overcharged. You can run the battery tender's cables up through the underside of the engine bay so that you can keep the hood closed and your car cover in place. If you want to remove the battery but still have it on a battery tender, set it on a piece of wood in your garage and attach it to the tender. Make sure not to lose track of the two battery bolts. Keeping your car's battery charged prolongs the life of the battery, and you don't have to wonder whether your car will start. You can also remove the battery and store it in a warm room in your home. Keep in mind that cold batteries can freeze and may crack.
Car Cover
Invest in a quality car cover. If you store your car outside, make sure that cover is waterproof and is securely attached to your car so that high winds don't blow it off. Universal and custom-fit car covers are available at best online retailers and at auto parts stores. There is a big difference between a $25 universal-fit car cover and a $300 high-quality model-specific cover. Your best bet is to get one that's breathable and keeps out moisture. Never cover your car with a plastic tarp as it will severely scratch the paint.
A basic car cover is worthwhile if you store your car inside because it can protect your car's freshly waxed exterior from accumulating dust and dirt. In addition, Reckow said, a thicker car cover provides a layer of protective padding for your car's exterior in case you bump it while you move items around in your garage. It's easier to have another set of hands available when putting a cover on your car; it also eliminates the risk of having the cover touch the ground, picking up grit. However, before you put the cover on, make sure all the windows and doors are fully closed and that valuables and necessities are out of the passenger compartment. You don't want to open a covered, storage-ready car just to get your cell phone's car charger. If you have a fixed antenna, you'll also want to remove it before covering up. You can put the antenna in your trunk or on the floor by the passenger seat so it's readily available for reinstallation.
In addition to a car cover, consider a car jacket. Just drive your car onto the jacket, put a soft car cover on it (this is a must) and zip up the outer plastic jacket. This solution provides protection from moisture, rust, rodents and dust. "I once stored a '66 Chevelle convertible, stripped of paint, right on a lakefront in Michigan,†Reckow said. "After one winter, there was not a lick of surface rust.†Make sure your car is completely dry and cool before putting any kind of cover on heavy truck.
Starting It Up
A common discussion among people who store cars is whether or not to start it every so often. "If you do a proper job storing a car, you don't need to start it," Reckow said. "But if you want to start it up, just remember what you have to remove and put back on." In other words, don't start your car with those socks still stuffed in the exhaust or the battery tender's cables in the engine bay. Completely remove the car cover, too; don't just peel it back enough to get in the driver's door. Never let a car run with its car cover on — or with the garage door closed.
Once your car is started, let it warm up to its operating temperature to remove any condensation and cycle the fresh oil through the engine to lubricate the auto parts a bit. Then, don't forget to redo the steps needed to return your car to its storage state.

1, Wash new auto parts in solvent before installation.
The camshaft and valve gear components should be washed in solvent, to remove grease and dust accumulated during transport, to ensure a clean installation. Dry the parts thoroughly before installation, laying them out on paper towels or shop rags.
• Don't soak hydraulic lifters, which will be compromised by cleaning solvents.
• Before installing your new camshaft, make sure to check the part numbers of the camshaft and valve gear components against the manual, to avoid any mismatch of equipment due to a shipping error or a mistake at the shop.
2,Lubricate the cam.
Cam lobes and bearings need to be coated with oil conditioner, which is usually included with new part kits. Rotate the cam while it's in the block, applying the oil in small amounts. Be careful to avoid scratching the cam bearings.
• Move the cam as far back as the plug at the rear of the block will allow, and fasten the upper timing gear.
3,Set the timing chain.
The timing chain and sprocket can be assembled after you've lubricated the parts. To align the timing, you need to set the timing gear to Top Dead Center (TDC) and torque the assembly to the proper specifications, which will differ, depending on the brand of the component.
• Most gears will be marked with a notch or a green dot to help set TDC. Rotate the gear until the mark is at roughly 12 o'clock. Always defer to the manufacturer's directions.
• With the camshaft in place, the upper timing gear should have its timing dot in the 6 o'clock position; the lower timing gear should show its zero-degree marking in the 12 o'clock position. Checking this will ensure proper valve train movement and allow the engine to respond the way the camshaft is intended to.
4,Position the lower portion of the timing cover over the oil pan.
Make sure oil does not leak from the front of the engine. Apply silicone between the oil pan and timing-cover seal contact points, then tighten the oil pan back into place.
• If the gasket is undamaged, it can be cleaned before spreading a thin layer of silicone between the pan and the block.
5,Lubricate and install the lifters.
Always use a new set of lifters, checking each to make sure it can move unimpeded after you assemble it. If it doesn't, the cam and lifter will be distributed incorrectly, which can result in engine failure.
• Lubricate each of the the new lifters, dropping them into their place. Install the pushrods through the cylinder heads, install the rocker arms, and put the pushrods against the rocker cups.
6,Reassemble and reinstall the rest of the assembly.
Reinstall the water pump and reconnect both heater hoses. Compress the belt tensioner and replace the drive belt.. Reinstall the radiator and refasten all of those hoses, reconnecting the tubes in the fill neck.
• Secure the wiring harness to the fan shroud and replace the radiator tray and the MAF assembly. Refill the radiator with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. Inspect the engine for any loose connections and then reconnect the battery cables.
7,Test the timing and adjust if necessary.
Turn the ignition and let the engine run, without starting, for a few seconds. Reconnect the coil pack harness if there are no problems.
• You may need to adjust the timing, using a timing gun, if you want to optimize the cam function.
8,Start the car to verify that the oil pressure is stable.
Let the car idle, pressing the gas pump if it threatens to stall. When the engine is running at full temperature, replace the radiator cap.

The camshaft controls the intake and exhaust valves of an internal combustion engine, regulating the four strokes (Intake, Compression, Power, and Exhaust) of the ignition process. The camshaft is sequenced to rotate at 1/2 half the speed of the crankshaft, and all camshafts must be properly "timed" or severe engine damage could occur. Installing camshafts is advanced engine work, but you can learn to approach the job as safely as possible for your make and model, and some general tips on getting the job done correctly.
1,Check the user's manual for your vehicle for specific diagrams.
Engine assemblies vary drastically from make to make and model to model, so it's impossible to offer a generalized guide for installing every camshaft. For this reason, it's important to invest in a Haynes guide, or another official user's manual with rebuild schematics specific to your make and model.
• It's possible to seriously damage your engine and wreck the timing if you don't use a detailed manual for this job. Read on only for a general description of the steps of the process.
2,Determine whether or not you need to pull the entire engine.
To access the crankshaft compartment, you may have to pull the entire engine, depending on the type of engine and the make of the vehicle. Overhead Camshaft (OHC) engines are much easier to access than Overhead Valve (OHV) type engines, with the camshaft centered in an engine block.
• Most American-made V8 and V6 engines use in-block camshafts, which means you may have to pull the engine out to do the swap.[1]
• Many engines using overhead camshaft configuration actually have multiple camshafts, such as a Dual Overhead Camshaft (DOHC). If you have a DOHC engine which is also a "V" configuration it is possible to have as many as 4 camshafts.
3, Access the camshaft.
Removing the timing cover is one of the most difficult parts of an in-car installation, if you're going to attempt it without pulling the engine. The oil pan must be lowered enough to remove the timing cover while also clearing the crankshaft snout. With the cover off the engine, remove the three upper timing-chain bolts, along with the lower timing gear if a new timing chain is to be installed. This process will vary, depending on your make and model, but generally you'll have to start by disconnecting the battery lines, then removing the radiator cap and releasing the valve under the passenger's side to drain it.
• Once the coolant is drained and the accessories are out of the way, remove the intake-manifold bolts. A small hammer and chisel or flat-head screwdriver may be needed to pry the intake manifold from the engine block. Scrape the front and rear block rails clean of cork, silicone, oil, or any other gunk, if necessary.
4, Remove the valve covers.
This will allow you to access the rockers, pushrods, and lifters. Keep the rockers and pushrods in order. While you remove the rocker nuts, the engine may have to be turned over a few times in order to take valve spring pressure away from certain rocker-to-valve stem contact points.
• Remove the Mass Air Flow (MAF) and Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor assembly, if necessary. Unbolt the radiator tray and remove it. Unbolt and detach the Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) tubes from the manifold.
• Remove the spark plug wires, disconnecting the wiring harness leading to the coil packs and remove the coil packs from the valve covers. Detach the hoses from the valve covers and remove the valve covers to access the crankshaft.
5, Rotate the cam and mark Top Dead Center (TDC).
Turn the camshaft wheel until you see the V-shaped timing mark at the top. If these timing marks are not aligned properly during assembly, the camshaft will be out of phase with the crankshaft and the valves may be damaged if they strike the pistons.
• If you need to adjust the timing afterward, you'll be able to make specific tweaks, but it's still good to make sure you've got the mark recorded so you can install the cam safely.
6, Remove the old cam.
Though using a camshaft removal tool is ideal, if your budget is tight you can work the cam out of the engine block by twisting it slowly and carefully, taking precaution not to scratch or gall the bearings.
• If you want to change the timing wheel, chain, or any other components in the assembly, you'll also want to remove these, correspondingly.

Admittedly, the introduction of talent and the acquisition of technology will help to improve the current situation of the auto parts industry, but improving the core technology can not be achieved overnight, which needs the support and guidance of the national policy, increase investment in research and development, personnel training and walk the road of independent innovation.
1, Personnel training is a long way to go
The lack of core technology is the bottleneck that restricts the development of China's auto parts industry. China's auto industry is still a very young industry, which can not be compared with the western developed countries’. Parts enterprises is younger, which have no rich experience and profound accumulation.
The so-called "ten years trees, ents in one hundred", so the cultivation of talents should not seek quick success, which need to start from a solid basic education, fully combine with practical experience and step by step to proceed. At present, China's technical personnel and management personnel are very scarce, so the talent training becomes extremely urgent. Besides, in our country, the science and technology talents is extreme shortage and training system is not perfect, either, so the loss of technical personnel in the spare parts enterprises is serious, the highly qualified personnel are mostly in foreign investment enterprise.
However this is not the most important, but the key is the extreme lack of China's construction of automobile talent. Older people have little experience in automobile theory, but new generation lack of practice theory, which lack of close contact between each other. So in order to really solve the problem, we must cultivate the core technology and proceed our own personnel training.
2, Independent research and development is essential
We want to achieve breakthroughs in core technology, we must increase R & D investment, improve R & D capability. Unfortunately, in China's automobile and auto parts enterprises, most of them are desperately through improving efficiency of enterprises to accumulate capital. Similarly, those who have sprung up as a private enterprise, they see the interests of higher than everything. Imagine, in this case, who is willing to increase research and development to achieve long-term development, but the loss of short-term corporate profit?
3, Policy support is imminent
As the basis of the auto parts industry, the product and the technology directly restrict the development of the whole vehicle. However, in our country, because the overall industry seeks quick success, that caused the exist of unbalanced situation for a long time. Therefore, auto parts enterprises driven by profit, most of them complete the production according to the vehicle needs, the majority of independent parts enterprises still remain in the processing the sample by map and the stage of surveying. But facing the new models, new varieties and new technologies, many independent parts enterprises struggled to cope with the task of research and development, have no time to enhance their level of basic research and matching ability.

(Reprinted)Car owners who call dealerships are often shocked when they learn the cost of replacement auto parts. A trim piece that costs maybe $5 to make could carry a 5000% premium at the retail counter. Some parts are priced to the moon simply because many consumers don't know any better. If only they took the time to shop around. So, let me help you approach this process like a pro. I personally buy about $20,000 in parts every year for my dealership, and after nearly 15 years of scouring the nation for rare and expensive parts, I'm happy to share my secrets to getting what I need at the lowest possible price.
1. Do Your Research
There are two websites every parts shopper should visit before buying. The first, Car-Part.com, offers the largest database of used auto parts in the world. The second is eBay—perhaps you've heard of it—which happens to be a new and remanufactured auto parts sales juggernaut.
There are a few steps to any successful search. Once you find what you need on Car-Part.com, select 'Distance' and then click 'Search' to see what its market price is in your area. Once you made note of that, go to eBay. Do the same search, and sort by 'Pricing + Shipping lowest'. Pay special attention to the estimated delivery time in the listing. Parts from overseas can sometimes take over a month to get to your home.
2. Verify, Verify, Verify!
Call the dealership to confirm your specific part number before you complete any purchase. If you don't confirm the part number, any grief that ensues is of your own making. You'll learn that some parts are unique to certain engine and transmission combinations. And the list of potentially affected best auto parts suppliers is long, from computers, modules, and sensors, to more basic items like alternators and starters.
3. Haggle, But Be Polite
It's common courtesy for most junkyards to match a lower price for a part at another retailer in the same geographical region. There are two important caveats to this, however. First, you have to compare apples with apples. Don't expect a junkyard to price-match their 20,000-mile engine with one nearby that has 200,000 miles on it. Second, when you haggle, make sure you say you did your homework on Car-Part.com, and be honest with the guy on the other line. He has the same information as you do, and if you jerk him around, he'll know and he may return the favor, so to speak.
4. Craigslist is a Crapshoot
Craigslist isn't always a good source. In the real world of buying parts, it can requently become a big time-suck compared with going to a junkyard or buying online. Plus, most of what you buy on Craigslist will be sold as is, while the other two sources allow you to either exchange the part or get your money back. For this reason, I get fewer than two percent of my parts from Craigslist.
5. Always Look For Coupons
Auto parts retailers are expensive. But they don't have to be. This website will help you find coupon codes or manufacturer rebates that may not pop up when you visit the auto parts store online. I've sometimes found starters and alternators that were within $20 of an eBay or a junkyard find, with the added perks of a limited lifetime warranty and free delivery. To me, that extra $20 is worth the peace of mind. Know that if a dealership is tells you that buying a part from someone other than them will void your car's warranty, it's not true. I usually buy batteries, fluids, and filters online from either auto parts stores, eBay, Walmart, or Amazon. If you find yourself just short of that '$50 off of $125' coupon code you found online, just add some items you know you'll use anyway, like filters or coolant, to get the order up where it needs to be.
6. Still can't find it?
Get medieval! If online hunting doesn't turn up the part you need, it's time to visit the self-service junkyards. Many hobbyists with time to kill will bring their own tools, find the part they need, remove it themselves, and pay a pittances for it. This is the cheapest option in dollars and cents, but it does cost you time.
7. Enlist Forum Help For Faraway Parts
There have been times when I've finally been able to locate a rare part, but it seems to be as far away from me as Mercury is from Pluto. This is when I turn to fellow enthusiasts for help. Online forums for your make and model usually have members spread across the United States. By asking for assistance acquiring a auto parts dealer that's not local to you (and perhaps offering $50 for the trouble), you can still get what you need and help out a like-minded grease monkey in the process. Make/model forums sometimes have dedicated parts-listing threads, as well. If enthusiast forums don't work, try reaching out through Facebook. You'd be surprised what a friend of a friend will do for a little extra cash.
8. Consider Buying a Parts Car
If you have the space, think about picking up a parts car that can serve as a donor vehicle. By searching public-auction listings nearby, you can find a local impound-lot auction that may offer you an inoperable version of your vehicle. Local newspapers also have an "Auction" section for towing and repair companies that sell parts cars in your community. Another option is to buy a vehicle from a salvage auction such as Copart or Insurance Auto Auctions. However, keep in mind that most states will require you to use a broker to acquire the vehicle. Be prepared to spend around $600 for a common spare vehicle locally and about twice as much at the big salvage auctions. The nationwide outfits usually have access to much better vehicles. This is especially the case for those of us who need spare body parts.
9. The Dealer is Your Last Resort
If you haven't found the part at this point, then—and only then—pay the dealer. To be fair, dealers are at the mercy of manufacturers, so don't blame them if you find their parts costs unreasonable.

In recent years, the multinational auto parts group have entered China, however China's auto parts industry is attached to the whole vehicle enterprise for a long time, the capital, technology, management and development were at a disadvantage, so it is facing an unprecedented challenge. Now Global procurement, synchronized development, modular supply and neutral development has become the four major bottlenecks.
In the face of global procurement challenges, the expert believes that China's auto parts industry needs to break the old market concept, they should get into the global sourcing platform. In the short term, we can’t achieve a breakthrough in technology research and development of auto parts industry in our country, so except cooperation with the multinational auto parts group, there is no good way.
The main bottleneck that the parts industry of our country is facing is the research and development ability. Due to the low level of R & D and no independent brand, products can only imitate others. The majority of parts enterprises in China can not meet the requirements of synchronization, not only difficult to support the new models, but also inevitably faced with the danger of losing the traditional market.
Second is global procurement. At present, China's auto parts industry is low manufacturing level, management extensive and cost control is weak, which can not meet the user's requirements for product quality, cost, delivery and other global procurement. Especially in the cost control, with the frequent performance of the car price war, the cost pressures continue to shift to the parts, so the ability of cost control is facing enormous challenges. According to estimates, every 10% reduction in vehicle prices, at least 5 percent is passed on to the parts enterprises.
Three is the modular supply. The modular supply is a new management idea and mode, and it puts forward strict requirements on the production management level, the assembly labor productivity, the cost control ability and the electronic level. At present, the gap between parts enterprises and the foreign company in this area is also very big, especially in the integration, electronic. Due to technological backwardness, the majority of parts and components enterprises in China can only produce labor-intensive products, so the added value of products is low, so it is difficult to enter the ranks of first-tier suppliers.
In addition, insufficient capital investment, small scale production, small batch, weak in strength, so that China's auto parts enterprises are unable to compete with multinational auto parts enterprises.
Increase market openness in parts enterprises brings opportunities as well as risks,, so how to prevent foreign investors from controlling the Chinese market? In fact, from the current market situation, China's parts have been controlled already. Therefore, we should keep learning foreign technology to shorten the gap with the international parts enterprises. In addition, we still have to work hard to create conditions, actively create a breakthrough and development opportunities for ourselves.

(Reprinted)The core of the engine is the cylinder, with the piston moving up and down inside the cylinder. The engine described above has one cylinder. That is typical of most lawn mowers, but most cars have more than one cylinder (four, six and eight cylinders are common). In a multi-cylinder engine, the cylinders usually are arranged in one of three ways: inline, V or flat (also known as horizontally opposed or boxer), as shown in the following figures.
Different configurations have different advantages and disadvantages in terms of smoothness, manufacturing cost and shape characteristics. These advantages and disadvantages make them more suitable for certain vehicles.
Let's look at some key engine parts in more detail.
Spark plug
The spark plug supplies the spark that ignites the air/fuel mixture so that combustion can occur. The spark must happen at just the right moment for things to work properly.
Valves
The intake and exhaust valves open at the proper time to let in air and fuel and to let out exhaust. Note that both valves are closed during compression and combustion so that the combustion chamber is sealed.
Piston
A piston is a cylindrical piece of metal that moves up and down inside the cylinder.
Piston rings
Piston rings provide a sliding seal between the outer edge of the piston and the inner edge of the cylinder. The rings serve two purposes: They prevent the fuel/air mixture and exhaust in the combustion chamber from leaking into the sump during compression and combustion. They keep oil in the sump from leaking into the combustion area, where it would be burned and lost. Most cars that "burn oil" and have to have a quart added every 1,000 miles are burning it because the engine is old and the rings no longer seal things properly.
Connecting rod
The connecting rod connects the piston to the crankshaft. It can rotate at both ends so that its angle can change as the piston moves and the crankshaft rotates.
Crankshaft
The crankshaft turns the piston's up and down motion into circular motion just like a crank on a jack-in-the-box does.
Sump
The sump surrounds the crankshaft. It contains some amount of oil, which collects in the bottom of the sump (the oil pan).

1. Packing factory accessories is compared commonly specification, standard specification, printing clear formal, shall be marked with product name, specifications, quantity, registered trademarks, producer name and address and telephone number, etc., some manufacturer also hit their mark on the auto parts.
2. See qualified spare parts surface appearance, print or type and legible and formal there are both certain accuracy and polished finish, the more important parts, precision is higher, more rigorous rustproof packaging. When the choose and buy if found parts with rust spots or rubber parts cracked, loss of elasticity, or shaft neck surface has obvious tool lines, shall be returned.
3. Look at the paint unscrupulous businessmen will be used by the simple processing accessories, such as the disassembly and assembly, to spell, gather together, paint and other processing, then pretend to be "qualified" , through the surface paint after the old paint can be discovered.
4. The bad work product appearance although on occasion, but due to poor craftsmanship, prone to crack, sand holes, slag inclusion, burr or bruised. Such as cylinder gasket extrusion deformation, when using, easy to cause the untight seal and ablation, lead to the oil, gas leakage and leakage phenomenon.
5. See "loose" made up of two or more than two parts, accessories parts by being connected, bonding or between welding and become, not allowed to have loose phenomenon.
6. See assembly mark in order to ensure the parts assembly relations conforms to the technical requirements, with some regular parts surface marker assembly, such as timing gear, piston top marks, such as assembly mark, mark is used to ensure the parts installed correctly, without a sign or mark fuzzy cannot recognize, will bring great difficulty to assembly, or even wrong.
7. See gaps complete formal assembly parts must be in good condition, to ensure smooth loading and normal operation. Some assembly of small parts packing, may be a "gray", to cause difficulties for loading. May even for some small parts shortage, cause the whole assembly parts scrap.
8. The protective layer for the purposes of custody, knock against, prevent parts have protective coating parts before delivery. Such as piston pin, bearing bush with paraffin wax protection; Piston ring and cylinder liner surface rust-proof oil and paper package; Valve, piston, etc after immersion rust-proof oil encapsulated with plastic bag. When the choose and buy, if find seal set of damage, loss of wrapping paper, rust-proof oil or paraffin loss, shall be returned.
9. The certificate some important components, especially the assembly class, such as carburetor, distributor, generators, etc., factory generally with manual, certificate of approval, to guide users to install, use and maintenance.
10. See most auto parts have stipulated specifications and technical parameters. Such as electrical equipment of choose and buy when, should pay attention to check and be in components of the voltage and power are consistent.
